Hobe Sound Florida Arts Festival

Well last Saturday my son & I went to the Hobe Sound Arts Festival and again it was packed elbow to elbow ! It was a 2 day event with lots of art !  It was held about a mile from where we are staying, there is a small shopping plaza and a few gift shops. They actually held it at a good spot which I guess this is where it's held every year but it's just off Jupiter Island and Jupiter Beach where we walk & ride our bikes  to is on the same road.. So needless to say the whole corner & road was packed , we decided not to drive so my son & I rode our bikes to the shopping plaza & locked them up at the Winn Dixie then walked .

At one end of the road was numerous art statues ( just beautiful ) large art sculptures of iron and metal any many booths lined the street. There was more art paintings and pictures , there was a few jewelry booths. I had never seen this before at a show they had to TE KI booths where they served island mixed drinks and yes it was made with alcohol

this is one of the metal sculptures a giant blooming flower it was about 6 foot tall !

At the first couple of stops at the entrance were mostly all kinds of art sculptures from iron metal to stone.

some more of the art sculptures

Talked to this vendor for a short time , she makes these assortment of wall art clocks ,  They are very unique, the movements at the bottom  like one is a golf club striker part that swings back & forth with the clock & the top was themed with a golf course. They were so neat  ! Here is her website www.savellstudio.com

Check them out  if you looking for other unique gifts !
Another vendor with some  unique ideas !

This is a beach grille on your way to the Jupiter Beach on the ocean.

Another shot of the beach grille where you are seated at a beach setting.

This is The Perky Pelican which is by the beach grille, it is a gift shop.
Till the next time !

Got My Toes In The Sand & The Hats On His Head !!!!!!!

Got My Toes In The Sand !! Yes it felt GREAT !! I had posted on my facebook page about going out to the ocean and a friend of mine said " put your toes in the sand for me " so I DID & posted it to her. But let me tell you what the real deal was -  I had said I would if she would make me a snowman but I have yet to get see my snowman it's just been to warm, so she's got an excuse for now ! ( she lives in Michigan ) So I'm stillllll waiting !!

We had driven by this park a few times  it's off the ocean highway, so one day we were out and about getting ready to drive by this park so I suggested we stop and check it out .  It was a beautiful little park, somebody was having a birthday party, it was dog friendly so there were dogs, there was rent a boogie board , fishing and a  board walk that went around the park over looking the intercoastal waters leading out to the atlantic ocean

My husband & son looking out over the boardwalk.

This is one of those old fashion tour paddle boats that was going through the intercoastal waters when we   were there. The other boat is just one that was actually comming up along side of the paddle boat..

My husband & I

Like the sunglasses that my sons special touch for modeling the welding caps !

Yes the hats on his head ( meaning my sons he modeled it for me )I told you I had started back sewing and these welder caps are one of my many ventures. Where my husband works the all seem to wear a welding cap and they are ment to be worn backwards with the brim at the back.

The place where my husband works are into the pirate skull designs! Seems like anything with the pirate skulls will do. The welder caps I make are reverseable  the one side is the pirate skulls and the other side since my husband is a fireman is flames !

Here is my son modeling the cap with the flames showing this time.. I really think he got a kick out of modeling them for me ! Isn't he a GREAT model ?

This is a purse that I made for myself , I can wear it over my shoulder if I want . I double sew all my seams on my sewing projects. This purse is lined with a black material lining with a reenforced large pocket inside with a velcro closure to open and shut it. I put a black button on the top  front side and a black elastic loop on the top backside to close the opening and hold my belongings inside.

This is the inside of my purse but it's really hard to see the full lining

This is a picture of the pocket inside .

This is the handles which I put a stiff interfacing in the handle so the handles are very sturdy.& of course I have my dragonfly hooked on my handle . Love my dragonflys !!
