Christmas Eve - Opryland Hotel Nashville Tennessee 2013

This was a Great Christmas Eve  we have lived here 7 years and have never made it to the Opryland Hotel at Christmas time to see the lights until this year. We have been there at least  3 times since we have lived here we have taken our children and grandchildren when they come visit.  This year my sister Sandy and her husband Bill came to visit her children and grandchildren and oh of course her sister (me) and my family !

So I decided this would be a Great time to be able to see the lights after all I have seen them plenty of times on the news channel on TV. But I still wanted to see them in person !  So we called up my sister and her husband and asked them if maybe they would like to go out to dinner then go see the Christmas lights at Opryland and with no hesitation they said yes so Christmas Eve was on to head to Nashville !

As you head  down the highway Briley Parkway you can see the trees all lit up and line the driveway that goes in  the front door to the Gaylord  Opryland Hotel .If you decide to park in the hotel parking lot ( you can self park or valet park ) to self park it's  $20 an hour no matter what time of the year . Or you can park across the street from the hotel , theres restaurants, hotels, gift shops , museums, Cooters Bar , lots of exciting thins to do on both sides of the street !.

As you look at the front of the hotel you see this line of twinkling lighted trees lining the driveway and your eyes just light up and your jaws drop and you  just stand there taking it all in for a few minutes, then quickly pull out your camera and start snapping pictures !!

As you walk up the driveway towards the hotel and past the lighted trees and you will see this Beautiful Nativity Scene all in white and all lit up. Believe me it's a sight to see and there sure was a lot of people there enjoying the Nativity.
Then you turn and look you see the front of the hotel and you can just feel the excitement as you walk inside .

When you walk into the front doors this magnificent stairway is in front of you that leads to rooms upstairs. At the holidays they have this large Poinsettia tree that sits off to one side of the stairs and a seating area off to the other side of the stairs.
Then there are lots of little stores and boutiques that lead down this large hallway that has concert stages and meeting rooms and hallways that lead to guest hotel rooms. Believe me you could get lost Very easy as a matter of fact I guess the 4 of us looked lost because an employee came up and asked us if we need help and Yes we did ! We were trying to find an area called The Delta Room where they have all the lights , a musical shooting fountain, gardens. So we graciously accepted her help and followed her in and out through this door and that door and up and down escalators and she took us to the Delta Gardens !

Here we are on the second level looking down on the lit gazebo. They also have a gondola boat ride around the gardens in the hotel resort area in the Delta Gardens.

This is a Blown Glass Fountain that sits at the far entrance to the hotel where most of the valet guests and hotel guest come to check in and this leads to the Delta. But as you walk into the lobby there is this large seating area and this Blown Glass Fountain sits in the middle of it and it's Amazing !

Then if you look up above the glass fountain you see this
maculate stain glass ceiling thata shapped sort of like a giant bowl turned up side down !

They have a big pool type water fountain that shoots up all different heights of beautifully colored water to themes you could sit and watch it all night !
