Well as you know last weekend was the Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival. We set up Friday morning and was very happy to see they gave us our same spot again this year . The gates opened at 1:00 but it officially opened at 4:00 p.m. Most crafters set up in the morning like us then left and came back about 3:30 to open at 4. We opened up and within 15 minutes we had our first sale and we were wondering if people would come out because it was so hot and humid and thundered & lighting and rained , but it ended up being a GREAT evening the skies cleared and the people came . On one side of the park they had music up on stage , they were playing all kinda of instruments and they were judging them. They had craft booths set up all over the park . We were set up within the village part of the park there was probably about 30 crafter tents. We closed about 10:15 pm |

Then came Saturday a long day 9a.m. to 10p.m. We got there and opened up it was a very humid morning, very cloudy and threatening rain, the skies would get really dark then clear up & the sun would come out. Well Fantastic again within the first half hour we made our first sale YEW HAW !! Then we got a couple of orders and I even had some return customers who bought more birdhouses, That feeling was GREAT. I even had a customer who last year special ordered a Auburn University Football Player Gourd Birdhouse who's husband stopped by to tell me that the birdhouse they got from me was a gift for there son in law and how he brags about the birdhouse to everyone and wanted to thank me ! I was THRILLED !

Well I had said in the title of this post about my NEW studio in progress and YES here it is the first look at my husband and 2 of our sons work in progress. The bottom is the garage on one side and his work shop on the other side. My room is at the top and it's gonna be GREAT !!! |

Spiral Staircase |
There is a spiral staircase towards the back of the garage that leads up to my studio. I think this is so cool ,my husband has been saving this staircase just for my room he says & there it is so I guess he was telling me the truth !! Theres better pictures below of the staircase .
This is my new studio upstairs it's nice and roomier, it;s 12 x 20 with a vaulted ceiling. It's alot bigger than my first studio my husband made me it was 8 x 12 and Great at the time ! But when he told me he was going to build me an even bigger one on top of his garage well.......I LOVE MY HUSBAND <3

These pictures show the room looking at the end where there is a closet and at the opposite end is another closet |
Then he is going to put two 4foot windows on the long sides of each wall. So there should plenty of light .and vent fans in each closet with lights. Not sure what color I want to paint it yet my other studio is lavender with white trim and I really like that . What colors do you think ? I also thought about a two color light to med on top and a darker of that same color on the bottom with chair rail dividing the wall ?

looking from the top down |
At the top of the stairs entering my studio he's putting a door with a glass window & a screen in it . The stairway is so cool I feel like the stairway is like a art and a perfect way to get up to my art studio ! |

I My gourds that we planted last year and let sit all winter turned out FANTASTIC even though I didn't have the largest amount of gourds but the ones that I did have I am proud of and not that they actually we even large in size but the quality of those are thick and for the ground here where I live in Tennessee that's good that something even grew !o even though I didn't get my gourds planted until late June. I did plant them and after 2 weeks this is what they look like these top ones are martin house. The bottom ones here in the green planter are large bottle gourds |
